Easter woodcuts
The client who commissioned the illustrations is a Brazilian poet who creates a specific type of poetry typical of the northeast region of Brazil, called "cordel".
"Cordéis" are usually accompanied by woodcut-style illustrations, which provide peculiar characteristics to the drawings.
The illustrations aim to tell the story of the Christian Easter, when the Hebrews were taken from the land of Egypt to begin their pilgrimage through the desert to the promised land.
